I found out an old archive of these breathtaking Balenciaga collection by  Cristóbal Balenciaga himself.

After so many prominent protégés and successful successor continuing the legacy of Cristóbal; Oscar de la Renta, Andre Courreges, Emanuel Ungaro, Hubert de Givenchy, Michel Goma, Josephus Thimister, and recently replaced yet the longest in time Nicolas Ghesquière, now Alexander Wang is taking the charge in the designing.

Trademarked and well known for bubble skirts and odd, feminine, yet ultra-modern shapes, then it turned out to be more motorbike-ish and punk acid-washed destroyed style, the Balenciaga nowadays is facing a high expectation of freshness and breakthrough. Or maybe Wang will bring Balenciaga back to its pioneer's path? I believe that fashion is about moving forward, but isn't it the purpose of hiring new designer for a fashion house, continuing legacy?

Signorefandi, fashion is about art, but fashion house is about business!
