Our sultan of sleek and clean-cut fashion icon, Calvin Klein, and the company he founded, Calvin Klein Inc., have made a $2 million donation to the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Klein, an alumnus of FIT (Class of 1963), made a $1 million donation through the Calvin Klein Family Foundation, which was matched by a $1 million donation by Calvin Klein Inc., a whole owned subsidiary of PVH Corp.
Well, as alumni, we all have (ethical) responsibility to support new breeds of our alma mater. Even though Calvin is no longer active in designing for the company, his spirit to support new born fashion designer deserves four thumbs up.
