French President Nicolas Sarkozy awarded Franca Sozzani, editor of Vogue Italia, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, today at Élysée Palace.

Franca wears Dolce Gabbana baroque super stunning black-gold dress

Every Vogue editor has style, not only in dresses and outfit, but in personality and in media approach. Franca, I think, is a Vogue editor who embraces the technology to the max; how she livetweets many events she's attending via @francasozzani, what she writes for Vogue Italia and The Huffington Post. Franca shows how open, accessible and web savvy she is. It is way far from exclusivity, you may think, but as an editor, she has responsibility to spread the mesmerize world of fashion.

Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Nicole Farhi are few of the biggest name in fashion awarded the Légion d'honneur.

Congratulazioni, Franca. Grazie per ispirarci. Grazie per la vostra dedizione alla moda. Noi tutti aspettiamo la svolta successiva. Ti amo ^_^

Signorefandi, Anna, Franca, who's the next?
